For any system up to the Dreamcast, what was the last retro game you bought? Feel free to discuss it here, and share your thoughts on it.

probably Super Mario Kart for SNES(okay, my friend gave it to me--but it was the LAST one I got)

before that was Turok 2 for N64, and Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball for SNES

Last one I got was Vectorman on the Sega Genesis.
I had just recently picked it up when I bought the Genesis at a yard sale.

Not really retro, but I just ordered Lost Kingdoms for the Gamecube. Remember playing it in multiplayer with a friend, and I enjoyed it then, so I figured it would be worth getting. Only $10, which is dirt cheap for a Gamecube game here!

I really want to get Soulcalibur II, and the Starfox games for GC.

It's been over a month, but I DID get "Cruis'n Exotica" and "Vigilante 8" for N64 at a local 2nd-hand Game store....

I need to go back and get like 40 other old school games now :G

The GBA port for Donkey Kong Country is the latest "retro" thing I can remember buying and that might of been a year ago. If I can remember a more recent retro game purchase I'll let you know.

Really? I never heard anything good about it. The gameplay I've seen of it doesn't seem very entertaining either. :/

I've always liked MARIO IS MISSING--
(Oh, and I really get tired of youtube videos)

Sure, its a "learning game", but I love the music, and its the first game you get to play as strictly Luigi

Gotta give the game props for that. I've always thought Luigi's Mansion did a better job with that, but then again it's a Gamecube game so it had a lot more power to make an engaging tale of Luigi's love for his brother and his determination to find him despite being put up against his fears than an NES game could. So I can't really use that as an excuse.

I should try to get my hands on it someday just to see if it's as good as you say or as bad as I think. :/

and despite the really TERRIBLE sprites for the Koopa kids, and Bowser--its really a good game.
