    What is OLD-SCHOOL to you?

Anything from before the Gamecube/PS2/GBA/XBOX Generation...

Old-School/Retro game have to be Cartridge-based for me...
or be an Arcade game from the 1990's....

I hate people who consider Gamecube as "retro"...
sure each person is entitled to their own opinion--and was born in a different "generation" of gaming then others, but still...

I grew up in the 1990's--the entire decade--starting w/ NES and Gameboy--and ending w/ N64, PSX, Dreamcast, and Gameboy Color...

I'll give you GBA--but not DS.

    DS is the Current Generation...
    and has some Wii compatibility--

GBA's the same Gen as Gamecube, and you can still play GC games on Wii...so no dice.

I grew up starting with Atari and NES--so maybe I'm more biased towards the late 80's/early 90's of Video Games(--okay, i totally am), but it just irks me when people call anything from around 2000 "old school".

For me, up to the Dreamcast. The Dreamcast might seem like a bit of a stretch, but the 7th generation of gaming is almost over, and the Dreamcast came out very early in the 6th generation, and has been discontinued for quite some time now, so I consider it retro. I only really considered it retro from 2010 and on though. You have to give things time before they're instantly old-school, otherwise it's missing the point of it being 'OLD-school".

What really bugs me is when people call the PS2 old-school. Seriously? They're still being sold new!

    And my SNES :p
